Joining criteria

To be within the WhatsApp group you will have a confirmed their place in the 2026 St Thomas’ Abseil with Guy’s Cancer Charity.

Key information and consent

Please carefully review the following information and consent. These form the agreement between you and the Guy’s Cancer Charity for using this WhatsApp group.

By joining our WhatsApp group, you acknowledge and agree that other group members will be able to see your contact phone number and display name.
You can leave the group at any time without giving notice or a reason.
A charity staff member will monitor the group for approx. 1 hour a day during working hours. These are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
We will make every effort to answer questions and participate in discussions, but please be aware that if the chat moves too quickly we may miss something. If you have a specific question, please retype your question or email us.
If use of private messaging to the charities team is abused and used outside the context of raising concerns, this functionality will be disabled.
You agree to adhere to the following rules for using the WhatsApp group:

We may ask you to remove a message if it is deemed inappropriate. If you do not follow the group rules, you will be removed from the group.

If you would like to raise a concern or complaint regarding conduct of other group members or Guy’s Cancer Charity, please email us directly at events@guyscancercharity.org.uk.

If a message or complaint is deemed serious enough, this will be escalated to a member of our Legal and Compliance Team.
