Our impact 2025-2026

Thanks to our generous community of supporters, we have funded some truly remarkable things at Guy’s Cancer over the past year.

Through donations and fundraising, we’ve helped the dedicated team at Guy’s Cancer Centre to make advances in cancer care that transform lives.

Our impact in numbers

We helped to fund the UK’s 1st ProFocal-Rx Laser – an advanced laser system used to treat prostate cancer without exposure to radiation and invasive surgery.

£2.8 million accessed by patients

The charity-funded Dimbleby Benefits Service helped cancer patients to access £2.8 million in vital benefits.

730 new monthly donations

Over 730 generous people joined our community by signing up to donate to our cause every month.

Advancing care with new technology

28 patients received faster, more personalised cancer treatment thanks to pioneering ctDNA testing. This quick, non-invasive approach which our supporter’s helped fund is changing how cancer is treated, enabling the dedicated Guy’s Cancer team to provide targeted treatment that’s tailored to each patient and their specific type of cancer.

Purchasing specialist equipment

We helped to fund the UK’s 1st ProFocal-Rx Laser – an advanced laser system used to treat prostate cancer. Thanks to our supporter’s generosity, Guy’s Cancer will be the first centre in Europe to offer this service. For patients this means avoiding exposure to radiation and invasive surgery.

Supporting personalised hair loss care

You helped Guy’s Cancer patients to access 24/7 personalised hair loss support. For those going through the anxiety of a cancer diagnosis, hair loss can be a huge struggle at an already challenging time. With your donations, we’re funding a team of specialists to support patients experiencing treatment-related hair loss.

A moment for our remarkable supporters

We could not have done any of the remarkable things above without our dedicated supporters.

Over the past year, 1,149 of them laced up their trainers and took on challenges from marathons to ultra walks, covering 76,175 miles between them – more than three times around the world!

Celebrating 10 years of abseil

In September, we celebrated 10 years of our iconic abseil event. In that time, thousands of our supporters have taken the 160 feet plunge down St Thomas’ Hospital, raising over £1.8 million.

Dave's remarkable bike ride

22 miles – The distance our remarkable supporter Dave covered on the Foulness Bike Ride to give back to the dedicated Guy’s Cancer team for the personalised care they gave him.

Dave shares, “I know on the day I will be happy to be raising money for this fantastic charity, and doing it alongside like-minded people cycling for their own great causes.”

Our every-growing community

Over 730 generous people joined our community by signing up to donate to our cause every month.

Many of them go on to leave a gift in their Will to help future cancer patients benefit from the same compassionate, personalised care they received.

“The care I received was exceptional. All my needs were met by all the wonderful doctors and nurses.” – a former patient who has chosen to leave a gift in their Will.

We are so grateful to our community of supporters who run, swim, bike, trek, bake, donate to help Guy’s Cancer to make advances in cancer care that transform lives.
